Re: Best books on nomography ?

I own Levens:Nomography, second edition, second printing (May 1965) . Joe has is right. Levens' book has been inspiration and source in some blocks. I found geometrical approach to be most straight forward way especially in N/Z-nomograph. This is one of my favourite books and very cheap. Few dollars...

Re: PyNomo 0.2.0b0 released

Thanks to Joe, I was able to publish his detailed recipe to install PyNomo and needed packages for Windows Vista! I think the recipe also works for XP.
See:http://pynomo.org/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_installation

Thanks!

Re: Using PyNomo

Hi Ron, there is an example to change fonts in PyX: http://pyx.sourceforge.net/examples/text/font.html . Somehow this does not work in my Windows XP MikTeX 2.7 distribution and PyX. I have not worked this problem out. If you manage to change fonts this way it should work for text objects in PyNomo. ...

Re: Wargame nomogram site updated

Dear Winchell, Future version of PyNomo, released hopefully during this year, has grid nomograms. The positioning of text and numbers are maybe not perfect in these grids, but work. The idea in the new release is, that 10 basic "blocks" are given and user may contruct compound nomographs u...

Re: Software for Stationary Scales

Sorry for inconvience, but there was a mistake in the code above in package loading definitions. The code above works only if it resides in same directory as nomo_axis.py. Below is corrected code that works. from pynomo.nomo_axis import * from pyx import * F_start=-40.0 F_stop=90.0 C_start=-40.0 C_s...

Re: Free Online Texts on Nomography

Could it be that in EU copyright is lost after 70 years after author's death, but in US works before 1923 have expired copyrights ?
